This is a messege Steve received from Kevin about the new windows editor along with the screen shot. -Dan We have made great progress on "GWEDIT", a new GCSW editor for creating levels. Here is a screen shot. Right now it can load in levels, and you can move objects around etc. The 3D viewport is working now, but only shows a 3D scene from one of Microsoft's developer demos. Here are some of the main points: 1.) Have multiple levels open at once with the ability to cut and paste whole sections of world between them. 2.) Maximum possible objects in a game level increased from 700 to 2048. 3.) Much better manipulation of objects with the mouse. 4.) A 3D view of your world in a seperate window which you zoom around in, and possibly make adjustments to the level with visual feedback. 5.) Internally, the objects are stored in a different way so that in a future version of the game engine, multiple levels can be dynamically loaded to make an almost infinite size level.
