Well some time later, you can! Welcome to Versus 1997, the biggest and baddest compilation total conversion that was ever concieved.

Versus 1997 sports (or at least PlANS to :-) ) 24 new weapons for the Quake soldier, in addition, 20 new skins for the Quake soldier, and 9 new different characters to choose from with their own abilities and disabilities. There will be a new episode called "Nameless Ruin". It will be a fun single player/deat match/cooperative QuakeC patch, yes even bigger than Michael Gummelt's Ultimate Quake, and more plot than Killer Quake Pack!!!

3-29-1997 - GLQUAKE!!!!!!

After a month since the last news post GLQUAKE is finally released!!! I have a 3DFX Voodoo Graphics 3D Accellerator board and I have tested it and it looks BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!

I highly recommend getting one!

As for the progress on Versus 1997I have added a third weapon set and I added a lot more sound and graphics :-) I also mapped a few maps but they all run too slow in QUAKE GL :-(

2-24-1997 - Site is now open!!!

I am excited to open the Versus 1997 site. I hope to unleash the mod to the world very soon. I'm thinking about adding Tom Cruise because he is in this cool movie Mission Impossible which I just rented from Blockbuster a couple days back. We will see ;-)

I've been getting email requests to add the MACARENA song to the game but I think that is stupid and destroy atmosphere. while I want cool heros like Arnold Schawrdsenger I still want to feel like a baddest and shoot off the heads of the guys.

Dont email me for your crappy v_shot skins i'm a proficient modeler i can show up not one not two but three screenshots of my model work. LATER :-)
